FocusKPI, Inc. is looking for a Supply Chain Lead role to work for our client in San Francisco, CA. This is a full-time contract position. 


  • Purchase Requisition & Purchase Order creation and management
  • Manage & Develop Software Vendor Databases (i.e Excel, Google Sheets, Access, Tableau)
  • Reconcile Software Budget Forecast against Actuals
  • Spend Analysis
  • Assist with QBRs and Vendor Relationship Management
  • Request for Proposals (RFP): Help Supply Chain to draft Scope of Work and Requirements.
  • New Software Proposal Review: Evaluation committee, facilitate and provide review.
  • Contracts: Understand Supply Chain Scope of work and translate in to Sourcing Contract document; review with stakeholders and legal. (SAAS, POC, Service Agreements
  • Contract Negotiations: Provide a plan, key Supply Chain Terms (participate or lead) during contract negotiations.
  • Weekly written status reviews:
  • Primary objectives completed since the last status report
  • Remaining immediate objectives and milestones
  • New Software Support Request Reviews

The Software Support & Sourcing Specialist - Will work onsite alongside the Software Partner Manager to:

  • Analyzes and provides supplier relationship management for key vendors
  • Deliver Request for Proposals (RFPs), Review/Analyst Vendor Proposals, and deliver Contracts
  • Leverages experience in IT Application Services Category - IT Project Development / Application Maintenance Support / SaaS implementation.
  • Will have primary responsibility for many commercial aspects of Software Suppliers and will be responsible for the management of given portfolio. Reporting to the Software Partner Manager
  • Effective communication, reporting and stakeholder coordination are essential delivery elements.
  • Ability to determine contractual/financial exposure/ negotiate contracts.
  • Knowledge of contracting trends, licensing models - traditional and emerging contract/vendor performance models.
  • Deep market knowledge of the category of Software vendors for the manager is responsible. (Application Svcs, SaaS, Consulting)
  • Ability to understand contract risks and to work with other parts of the organization in crafting tactics and strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Where applicable, understanding of government and industry regulations that will influence contracting approach and vendor behavior (for example, SOX, SECURITY).
  • Strong ability to communicate with IT users, legal and procurement staff, and business leaders to craft contracts that align complex needs with contractual requirements to achieve business outcomes.
  • Customer-focused approach to delivering contract management services to internal customers

•    Bachelor’s degree. (Software, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Business)
•    3-5 years minimum relevant professional experience
•    2-3 years’ experience in Indirect Sourcing categories required (Project Application Development, SaaS, Maintenance Support) preferred 
•    Experience in process improvement preferred
•    Supplier agreements: knowledge of legal terminology and language related to supplier agreements
•    Demonstrated leadership ability to inspire others and build and mentor effective teams
•    Proven negotiation and contracting skills
•    Project management skills
•    Demonstrated success in designing presentations for senior management
•    Flexibility and adaptability to effectively adapt to new scenarios and changes
•    Ability to think strategically and an excellent communication
•    Knowledge of Procurement Processes and Tools
•    Knowledge of ERP systems, Application Development, Maintenance (Oracle Preferred)
•    Ability to deliver RFPs
•    Ability to draft Contract - Statement of Work Terms with key provisions such as SLA.
•    Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
•    Strong analytical skills
